Republican Presidential candidate Andy Martin will join Wall Street protesters

Corruption-fighting independent Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin is flying to New York to join the growing national protest movement against corporate arrogance, corruption and abuse of the American people. As president, Martin would ban the export of American jobs to China. He would take steps to protect America’s economy, not the paychecks and bonuses of Wall Street executives. Martin says young people are angry; Andy’s angry at what corporate executives and crooked politicians have done to destroy our economic future.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Andy Martin says he will support the “Wall Street Protests” as long as they remain peaceful and law-abiding

Andy has a question for the protesters: “What took you so long to wake up and fight back?

Andy says Republicans are missing an opportunity to market their economic message to young people who are suffering because of the “Barack Economy”

Andy says there is no reason for conservatives to forfeit frustrated young people and abandon them to the left and New York’s rapacious public employee unions

Andy is in Honolulu completing the current phase of his research and writing on Barack Obama’s family life and character; Andy will be flying directly to New York to join the protesters and trying to switch their loyalties to “progressive conservatism”

(HONOLULU, HI)(October 4, 2011) Corruption-fighting Independent Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin announced today, October 4th he is winding up his current research on Barack Obama in Hawai’i and flying directly to New York to support the “Occupy Wall Street” protest movement.

“I think Republicans and conservatives are missing a classic opportunity,” Andy says. “They have simply branded the Wall Street protesters ‘leftists’ and handled them over to New York City’s rapacious public employee union leaders. That is short-sighted on the part of Republican/conservative leaders. (Shortsighted Republican leaders? No surprise there.)

“These young people, and some who are not so young, are growing up in a Barack Economy.

“There are no jobs; people can’t earn a living.

“Without a job, young men and women can’t start families. Why aren’t my pro-family conservative friends joining the protests?

“Obama’s incompetent financial management has choked off the home loan industry. No one can borrow to buy a home. Young people can’t move into their own homes; adults are being infantilized by having to bunk with parents. Don’t Republicans and conservatives want to support and encourage home ownership?

“Obama has made ‘children’ of 26 year-old adults, and made them dependent on their parents.

“Young people today, and not-so-young-people who have lost their jobs and been victimized by the Barack Economy, have no ‘hope’ and no future. Things look bleak; we are probably already in a second recession.

“I have this question for the Wall Street protesters: what took you so long to wake up and fight back?

“What is wrong with my party that we are not standing up with the protesters and trying to sell our message of economic opportunity? Why are we allowing municipal labor union racketeers to steal this ‘Lost Generation” for their own?

“No jobs? Obama put Jeffrey Immelt at the head of his economic advisory committee; Immelt’s firm, GE, is exporting as many jobs as it can to foreign countries, and fattening Immelt’s own corporate bonuses and perks in the process. GE is stealing the future of our college graduates. Individually, young people are helpless to stop this national suicide.

“I am a progressive conservative who believes conservatives have a leadership role to play in ‘righting’ the economy and renewing economic opportunity. Have Republicans forgotten that the progressive movement in the last century began in the Midwest, in the Republican Party? Well, it did.

“I am not a stooge of Wall Street. I would vigorously prosecute all of the fraud artists who destroyed our economy. Why is Obama afraid to do something? Maybe because Obama collected $1 million in campaign cash from Goldman Sachs. Obama is back in 2011, asking Goldman Sachs for more cash for 2012, trying to raise $1 billion in corporate contributions and dirty dollars to campaign for reelection. In 2008 Obama got more Wall Street money than John McCain.

“The housing industry has been destroyed by hundreds of thousands of fraudulent foreclosure lawsuits. How many lawyers have been prosecuted for filing fraudulent foreclosure cases? How many bankers for filing fraudulent affidavits and robo-signing? None. One scumbag lawyer, David J. Stern, left 100,000 bogus foreclosure lawsuits pending when his Florida law firm collapsed. The new Republican Attorney General of Florida, Pam Bondi, is trying to derail an investigation into foreclosure fraud. Whose side is Bondi on? Are Republicans powerless and helpless to condemn fraudulent foreclosure litigation?

“Chase Bank was stealing homes from our men and women in uniform while they were serving overseas and defending America. If that’s not Wall Street greed, what is? Chase didn’t even get a slap on the wrist for violating the law.

“We live in an increasingly lawless society, where the fruits of our national economic labors are being misappropriated to a handful of individuals, while our nation as a whole is impoverished by exporting jobs to China and other countries, all to create more profits for overpaid and corrupt corporate executives.

“You can count me as one Republican presidential candidate whose heart is with the American people, with young people, with struggling families and the unemployed, not with the corporate thieves and the corrupt brokerage houses that bankrupted this prosperous, wealthy nation and have paid no penalty for their perfidiousness.

“The Republican leadership in Congress sees a ‘job-creator’ every time a job is exported by GE and created in China. I do not. I believe in economic opportunity for Americans first. I believe in an honest economy and a level playing field. We don’t have them today. Corporate crooks are winning.

“I am convinced that Barack Obama can never lead us back to prosperity. That’s why I am a candidate for president and why I am going to stand up and be counted as someone who thinks Republicans are on the wrong track when they jump into the back pockets of the corporate executives that are destroying our economy.

“I am usually a follower of the New York Post’s editorial page. But I think the Post has got it wrong this time. Progressivism, conservatives, these are all just labels. We need to give people jobs. Jobs are real. We need real jobs. Yes to lower taxes, yes to adopting ‘smart’ regulations. But we also need to stop turning a blind eye to businesses that export jobs, damage communities and allow executives to enrich themselves at the expense of their shareholders and employees. Obama is not creating jobs. His corporate cronies are exporting jobs. What are we going to do about it?

“The Republican Party by-and-large is the party of Main Street, of middle class families striving for success and prosperity, of the ‘small businesses’ we hear so much about. My ‘plan’ for America: bring the jobs home, encourage family formation and home ownership, and get rid of the ‘crony capitalism’ that Sarah Palin talks about.

“As long as the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement is peaceful and law-abiding, I will do what I can to help Americans focus attention on the fact that not one corporate executive has gone to jail for the massive fraud that laid low our nation over the past several years. There is a certain amount of irritation and disruption when mass protests take place. But people are angry; they should be able to demonstrate their anger at the failed leadership in both parties. As long as protesters remain peaceful and respectful I’m with them. We don’t need Bill Ayers pouring gasoline on the streets.

“While Barack Obama is trying to harvest campaign contributions from corporations and corporate executives his contributors are exporting jobs and enriching a handful of executives. The executives in turn are firing their American employees. What’s in Barack Obama’s wallet? Dirty corporate cash.

“So why shouldn’t Republicans be out in the streets joining the protesters, trying to persuade them? Instead of abandoning them to craven municipal union leaders?

“Aren't Republican families suffering from unemployment? Don’t Republican parents have children living at home that can't find work, can’t start a family, can’t buy a home?

“Barack Obama’s corporate state is not the America I grew up in. The Republican congressional leadership’s America is not the America that gave me an education, two college degrees, and economic optimism. I want to recreate the America that offered me opportunity, not the America that is oppressing the futures of our young people and depressing the futures of the unemployed and underemployed.

“Who are we kidding? We’re only fooling ourselves if we Republicans repudiate protests against economic abuses. Of course, Republicans don’t like to be reminded that both parties are responsible for the current mess. Obama has made it much worse; but the downturn began with Bush.

“Well, I’m reminding Republicans. I am not stupid, and the protesters are not stupid. They have valid grievances. I will do what I can to channel those complaints and concerns, and to let them know there is one presidential candidate in the two parties that stands with them and understands their anger and frustration.

“Come on, Republicans, wake up. Join the protests. Don’t ridicule them,” Andy says. “I may be a dark horse Republican candidate, but in the event I am elected I will be the president of all the American people and, yes, even those who voted against me. I even want Democrats to have jobs, families, homes and futures. I want to create shared prosperity, not a future of corporate dictatorship and executive aggrandizement.”

Andy Martin expects to join the Wall Street Protests no later than Sunday, October 9th.

ujntsman wasd reelected in November, 2008. A few monrths later he resigned to serve
