The Birther Presidential Candidate Report to the Nation follows (without the original heading):
--------------------------
Dear American:
As we pass the 90-day mark of my presidential campaign I would like to report on the great progress we have accomplished and the high hopes we have for the months ahead.
When Michael Memoli of the Los Angeles Times (see link below) reported the announcement of my presidential candidacy on the Bulldog Brian Tilton Show on WTPL-FM, in Concord, New Hampshire Memoli understood the core of my campaign: I planned to “drive the agenda in the Republican Party’s” presidential race. I have made good on that plan.
I promised to defeat Barack Obama, not necessarily to win the nomination for myself. In other words, I promised an agenda-driven, not ego-driven primary campaign. We are succeeding beyond anyone’s expectations.
Ninety days later, the only gossip in the Republican Party is “are you pro-Birther or anti-Birther?” Sarah Palin has managed to straddle both sides of the Birther issue.
In this report I will explain how my campaign unfolded and how Birther power is on the verge of toppling the Republican Party’s national power structure. How did all of this happen so fast? I didn’t do it all alone. My campaign is called “The New Ronald Reagan Revolution” for a reason.
President Reagan once said, “There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit.” I don’t care who wins the nomination so long as that candidate is committed to an aggressive campaign against president Obama, not the patsy-style effort run by Senator John McCain in 2008.
My regular readers know that last month I laid down a challenge to cable TV bobbleheads Karl Rove and Dick Morris by charging that they were wrong to suggest “Obama-the-Man” was off-limits to attack. My instincts told me that unless we delegitimized Obama-the-Prophet, Republicans would lose next year. Issues were important, but character was more important. My neighbor Rush Limbaugh now admits he agrees with my strategy. Finally. What took you so long, neighbor?
With these introductory remarks here is a more detailed report on how my campaign has unfolded.
A. My candidacy announcement was accompanied by a media strategy
I have forty-three years of experience in broadcasting and forty-six years of experience is corruption-fighting politics. I started out fighting Chicago Crime Syndicate influence in
Unlike most candidates, who announce first and consider their media strategy later, we already had a media strategy in place on December 29th when I went to
B. Donald Trump creates a media frenzy
There is no denying Donald Trump’s announcement that he might join the presidential race triggered a media frenzy. I will be eternally grateful to Donald for grasping the power and potential of my message. My own campaign was already in place and ready to capitalize on Trump’s firestorm. Practically speaking, Trump’s “campaign” runs on his celebrity and my political infrastructure. That’s why I have referred to us as the “Truth Team.”
As this Report was being prepared on Tuesday evening the media were in full frenzy mode. Bill O’Reilly on Fox News was “finally” resolving Obama’s issues, after claiming for years he had “finally” resolved them in 2008. Jay Leno was making fun of Obama's birth certificate. Birth certificate jokes have become a national staple. Piers Morgan was giving Obama’s sister a flaccid “interview” designed to protect Obama. On O’Reilly’s show Alan Colmes correctly summarized my strategy as a plan to delegitimize Obama. The plan is resonating with the American people. The Karl Rove/Dick Morris strategy has been discredited.
C. The Republican Party’s “frenzy”
The Republican Party leadership doesn’t particularly like me. They tried to attack my campaign in February. The effort boomeranged. I am stronger than ever. The public wants to hear what I have to say whether the liberal media and Republican leaders want me to be heard or not.
In the past, Republicans would rather nominate a loser (John McCain, Senator Bob Dole) than run an aggressive campaign. The “Club” doesn’t like hard-hitting, independent conservative campaigns. That’s why there is a growing terror that either Donald Trump or I could inflict a massive defeat on the Republican Party’s national establishment. We threaten to liberate rank-and-file Republican voters from the tyranny of losing play-it-safe presidential campaign strategies.
The Republican Party is part of a bipartisan “Combine” in
D. My campaign has a strategy for the future. Do the others?
Where do we plan to go in the next ninety days?
I’m still driving the Republican agenda because my Birther infrastructure is fueling Trump’s rise. Unless and until Trump publicly provides actual evidence in excess of the original field research I produced in
Unlike most presidential candidates, whose background is pure hothouse politics, my “politics” includes media experience and an extensive, worldwide investigative background. My ego is not wrapped up in my campaign. I have had to segue from being the first and only Birther candidate, to playing second fiddle to Trump. And I will either be continuing as the junior partner on the “Truth Team” or assuming control again if Trump doesn’t run. Toggling between different standings and attack modes takes a flexibility that other presidential candidates lack. They are “me” oriented; Like President Reagan before me, I am mission driven.
We produced the first “Birther” presidential campaign TV ad in February, long before Trump was even on the radar screen. We linked our ad to Jerome Corsi’s upcoming book, again in early February. Take a look at the ad, produced at WMUR-TV, and ask yourself, “How did they know to produce a series of Birther ads in February?” The answer is obvious. Teamwork. We had a plan in December to “drive the agenda in the Republican Party.”
Another way of looking at my campaign is that we are the “ultimate team players.” My “New Ronald Reagan Revolution” is devoted to defeating Obama, not necessarily electing me. Whether it’s incorporating Jerry Corsi’s book cover in my TV ads, or supporting the Trump “campaign,” my goal is to defeat Obama, not to claim all the credit for myself as the nominee (see the technobility link below).
Unlike traditional presidential candidates who need mainstream media exposure as oxygen to run their campaigns, my “Internet Powerhouse” is driven by the Internet and has a devastating impact without leaving any visible traces in the mainstream media. Christopher Hayes of The Nation identified me in 2007 as the master of a new form of conservative campaign “machine” that could drive the agenda while being “as potent as it is invisible.” It’s a new dimension of political warfare. I am not dependent on the mainstream media or their debate charades to spread my message.
Because I proffer the most “conservative” Birther claims and avoid unnecessary exaggerations, my campaign message comes with seven years of solid credibility. No one else can match the staying power of my track record since 2004. Bottom line: Trump may or may not run. But the Birther issue which I created and continue to energize is not going away. The Birther agenda is a growing political force in the Republican Party.
The only thing holding back my campaign is lack of financial resources. If money comes in we are equipped to instantly scale up our advertising campaign. We’ll have more to say about our campaign advertising the later this week. In the meantime, we have the only advertising campaign and the only campaign message that is calibrated to the zeitgeist of the American people.
We are on the attack. Barack Obama is playing defense. And Donald Trump is the casino wild card. What will the next 90 days of our Birther Presidential Campaign bring? Fasten your seat belts.
Now you know why we call my campaign The New Ronald Reagan Revolution.
Respectfully submitted,
Andy Martin
