GOP presidential candidate Andy Martin will hold a telephone
news conference Friday, December 11th to suggest that a clandestine dinner meeting
held by Reince Priebus and Mitch McConnell to purportedly prepare for a
“brokered” convention is in reality a “Stop Trump” operation-in-the-making.
Andy suggests that the conspirators will trigger a pro-Trump backlash in New
Hampshire and eventually nationally, as rank-and-file
Republicans are repulsed by the naked attempt to thwart the will of primary
voters. Andy says the impact of the Priebus-McConnell cabal may be to keep “dead
duck” candidates such as Jeb Bush and John Kasich in the race longer in the
vain hope they can profit from a rigged nomination at the convention. “This
will not end well for the party elites,” Andy predicts. “Some Republicans have
attacked Trump with the accusation his campaign is benefiting Hillary Clinton.

Dear American:
This is my eleventh letter to the American people from the
2016 campaign trial. My comments come with a serious warning that if the
so-called “insiders” and “elites” of the GOP - the Bush Family profiteers,
Mitch McConnell and Beltway lobbyists - try to rig the 2016 National Convention
against Donald Trump they are playing with matches. A “Stop Trump” effort is
the dream of Hillary Clinton and her liberal media sycophants.
The Washington Post is reporting (please see link below)
that Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, Senator Mitch
McConnell and representatives of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio met to discuss a
“brokered” convention in which Donald Trump would be blocked if he held the
largest number of delegates. Priebus and McConnell are playing with matches. They
could set the Republican Party on fire.
As a candidate myself, I am not supporting or opposing Trump
or any other candidate, with the exception of Jeb Bush whom I oppose. But I strongly support an
open primary process and an honest, not brokered, convention.
First, Mitch McConnell is the most unpopular Washington
official bar none. The mere fact that McConnell is involved in the brokering
boondoggle will magnify the backlash. By adding his name to the Stop Trump
meeting - although he coyly claimed he wasn’t an active participant - McConnell
is sealing his own doom as a leader. McConnell will be replaced in 2017 if Republicans
retain control of the senate.
Second, instead of inviting representatives of all of the
candidates to the secret dinner, only Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio were allowed to
send representatives. What does that tell you?
McConnell and Priebus may have also killed Marco Rubio’s
chances for the nomination. (If Rubio has an ounce of common sense he will come
out Friday and denounce the Stop Trump effort, to save Rubio’s own candidacy.)
Jeb Bush is beyond resurrection.
Third, there will be a backlash in favor of Trump when Granite
State Washington
elites are conspiring against them. The backlash will spread nationally. Under
Jennifer Horn the New Hampshire Republican Party has an egregious record of
trying to fix primaries and harass candidates. Trump is only the latest victim.
Horn’s repeated attacks on Trump may be her effort to curry favor with national
leaders.
The effort by Beltway Bandits to steal the presidential
nomination from primary voters, and to hand the prize to a “dead duck”
candidate favored by lobbyists and Bush brokers, will tear the party apart. Instead
of having secret dinner meetings to plan conspiracies, we need more sunlight
and more transparency in the party.
