Martin says a new book by NY Times Company writer Sally Jacobs is going to “rebirth” the “Birther” movement.
Martin says the piecemeal release of Obama family documents by federal officials to liberal media seeks to conceal damaging information about the president and to ensure that “liberal newspapers” such as the New York Times Company (Boston Globe) get to manipulate federal files.
“Thursday I learned that a New York Times Company writer, Sally Jacobs of the Boston Globe, had written a book about Obama’s family and in particular Obama’s putative father (see links below).
“The Jacobs book is a bombshell that is going to revive the Birther movement.
“Some background is needed,” Martin will tell the news conference.
“I began the ‘Birther’ movement with my critical writing about Barack Obama in 2004-2010. However, notwithstanding the occasional erroneous news story to the contrary, I never suggested Obama was born in

“I predicted, as part of my ‘Frank Marshall Davis theory,’ that Obama’s putative father was financially strapped which is why he agreed to become the ‘father’ in lieu of

“From the day the certificate was issued in April, 2011 many Birthers refused to accept the authenticity of the document. I was not involved in this disbelief because by then my presidential campaign had moved on to other issues. Nevertheless, my office still receives approximately 100 emails a day from persons who refuse to accept Obama’s birth document.
“People who have tried to pry loose federal records of Obama’s family have generally not succeeded. And yet Obama administration officials some time ago apparently released Obama’s father’s immigration files to Jacobs.
“Based on the new book it is easy to confirm the ‘rebirth’ of the Birther movement. Since April the general public hasn’t been concerned with Obama’s birth. My belief is that the issue is going to be revived by all of the new disclosures in the book.
“I have never believed Obama was born anywhere but
“This book confirms my original allegations that Obama came from a dysfunctional family, a Casey Anthony-style household of disorder. That disorder and dysfunction is what gave rise to the president’s peculiar governing style and his inability to manage and lead now that he has achieved high office.
“In my opinion as a presidential candidate, publication of the Jacobs book could not come at a worse time for Obama, right in the middle of the budget battle. This book will adversely affect Obama’s reelection.
“Interestingly, Robert Gibbs was aware some time ago of the release of the Obama family files, but made no public statement and continued to ridicule doubts about Obama’s origins while Gibbs served in the White House.
“I smell a liberal cover-up, which is only going to fuel rebirth of the Birther movement. Napolitano favored a liberal newspaper and liberal writer with a surreptitious release of national archives.
“I demand that Obama stop hiding behind federal secrecy laws and officially authorize the release of all of the federal files and records on his family. No more fraud and prevarication. If, after releasing partial records to Jacobs, Obama will not release the complete files, he is hiding something or many things. The Salvation Army should come clean about its role.
“Sally Jacobs may have written a new book; the ‘last chapter’ in Obama’s tortured family history has yet to be written. I predicted that as well,” Martin states.
