WMUR TV 30 minute campaign ad makes New Hampshire primary history Sunday Jan. 1st

Independent Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin will begin airing a 30-minute campaign ad Sunday, January 1st at 1:00 P.M. on WMUR-TV in Manchester. Andy says his campaign’s research indicates it is the first time in history a presidential candidate has broadcast a half-hour program in the New Hampshire primary. “We inform voters that the liberal media and the goofball media are hiding candidates from the voting public,” Andy says. The ad will also be “stripped” during the week of January 2nd at 1:05 A.M. WMUR-TV will also air the program on January 8th.

(MANCHESTER, NH) (January 1, 2012) Independent Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin will make New Hampshire primary history Sunday, January 1st at 1:00 P.M. when his campaign begins airing a 30-minute campaign ad. “Based on our research, we could not find any other presidential campaign in the past fifty years that had broadcast an entire half-hour program,” Andy says. "WMUR-TV is to be congratulated for clearing the time for me to use this experimental form of political advertising

“Forty years ago, Hall of Fame adman John O’Toole encouraged me to use longer TV advertising, and to limit ‘slam bam’ TV ads. I am being true to John’s legacy. I am also bringing the truth and the facts to New Hampshire voters.

“The liberal media and the looney local media (guess who?) are hiding candidates from the voting public. All of the mainstream media’s coverage is poll-driven, ‘horse-race’ reporting that only provides coverage of Washington, DC professional politicians and celebrity candidates. New ideas are ignored. Is it any wonder that presidential primary campaigns have become sterile and boring?

“The issue before Republican voters and independent voters in New Hampshire is a simple one: who can best lead the Republican Party against Barack Obama? Santorum can surge, Gingrich can surge and Paul can collect his band confused and misled sycophants. But none of those candidates is a ‘leader.’ None of them can lead the party against Obama, and none of them can defeat Obama.

“For the first time New Hampshire voters can now hear and see me in an extended 30-minute commercial. It is the first time in New Hampshire primary history that voters get a ‘real’ look at a real presidential candidate with a real record of public integrity and public accomplishments.

“Almost eight years ago I began exposing Obama as a fraud. My research and writing created the anti-Obama movement. I created a movement that cost Obama millions of votes. Now I would like the opportunity to cost him the presidency.

“I am the only Republican presidential candidate who has an actual track record of fighting corruption and helping send crooked Chicago politicians to jail. The other presidential candidates yap about corruption but they have never taken on any corruption battles of their own. They are ‘all sail and no anchor.’

“Viewers will see an intelligent candidate who not only offers decades of proven performance, but also offers concrete action during the past year in New Hampshire. I helped energize the battle against PSNH's Northern Pass. I put the Northern Pass issue on TV before the people of New Hampshire. I am leading the battle to save The Balsams and preserve 300 North Country jobs. During the week of January 2nd we are getting ready to make blockbuster disclosures about The Balsams that will embarrass the Governor and Attorney General. I am ‘Granite State’ tough.

“No other candidate has brought anything into New Hampshire but themselves. My campaign team is helping the people of New Hampshire and working to protect the most vulnerable families. Isn’t that what we want in candidate who has to stand up to Obama? Proven performance? Concern for working families?

“Even Mitt Romney, who is a decent man, has never actually the demonstrated the toughness necessary to stand up to Chicago street-fighters like Obama and Axelrod. I have.

“I am also working to broaden the base of the Republican Party. I will be participating in ‘College Convention 2012’ in Concord starting January 3rd and exposing Ron Paul as the political fraud that he is. I will be taking on Newt Gingrich’s latest round of political corruption, ‘tax deductible’ TV ‘programs’ that blatantly violate federal campaign laws. Gingrich is addicted to unethical and corrupt behavior. Gingrich’s tears can’t wash away his track record of dirty politics and quasi-criminal behavior.

“I will even meet with groups that are shunned by Gingrich and others, such as representatives of the ‘Occupy’ movement. No, I don’t agree with them on many points. But I do agree that our economy has to do a better job of creating middle class jobs. Much of what passes for ‘economics’ among the other Republican presidential candidates is complete nonsense.

“I would rather offer Occupy supporters a dialog and an opportunity to participate in the political process than castigate them and cast them out.

“Today Ron Paul has the most energized ‘young’ supporters. That’s sad. And embarrassing to the Republican Party leadership. Not in my lifetime has a presidential candidate attracted young people by mixing in backing by anti-Semites, White Supremacists and Klansmen. I am the only candidate standing up to Paul and reaching out to offer an open hand to confused young voters. “‘Expanding the base’ is often controversial and always challenging. But at the end of the day I am the only candidate with a vision strong enough to bring new voters into the Republican Party. And, unlike Ron Paul’s anti-Semites, White Supremacists and Ku Klux Klan supporters I will only accept supporters who respect the Constitution and love our Flag.

“Mr. Paul is a disgrace to the presidential campaign and I am not afraid to say so. Paul refuses to reject ‘support’ from anti-Semites, Klansmen and White Supremacists. With a wink and a nod Paul promises to repeal civil rights laws. Is this what the Republican Party has become? A home for anti-Semites, Klansmen and White Supremacists? For shame.

“The half-hour TV ad will be aired Sunday, January 1st over WMUR-TV at 1:00 P.M., and again on Sunday January 8th at the same time. We will also ‘strip’ the program (air it at the same time on a repeating basis) starting Monday night/Tuesday morning at 1:05 A.M. (Tuesday at 1:05 A.M.) and then on Wednesday and Thursday and thereafter.

“The program is also loaded in segments on our YouTube channel (see above) and on my own campaign web site (loads a little slowly there). So people can watch the show on WMUR-TV and then go back and download the program or watch it again to focus on their areas of particular interest.

“Finally, this program is a ‘bunker buster’ advertisement. While the other candidates blather on, I tackle the import crisis of goods made with slave labor in China and elsewhere. I support fair trade, not free trade. I am not afraid to face the mandarins in Beijing. I will not kow’tow to them.

“The portrait of my candidacy that the program presents is a ‘nuanced’ one. That’s the beauty of the ‘long’ medium. Viewers can see me actually conversing with them. I express complex thoughts and repeat them for emphasis.

“I’ve been producing political advertising for over forty years. Four decades ago I worked with legendary Hall of Fame advertising leader John O’Toole to elevate political discourse in our great nation. I am the only candidate who is following through on John's and my vision, that candidates should use long commercials to really present themselves to the people.

“I am very proud of the program we have produced—it wasn’t easy—and I hope the voters will like what I have to say and respond accordingly on January 10th,” Andy says. “My mother was born in Manchester. My grandparents are buried at Pine Grove cemetery in Manchester. We have an eternal bond with the State of New Hampshire. That’s why I call myself ‘New Hampshire’s Favorite Son’ in the 2012 presidential primary. I believe I have made New Hampshire voters proud by the way I have conducted my campaign.”
