(San Francisco , CA November 23, 2015 ) Republican
presidential candidate Andy Martin launched his West Coast campaign efforts
Sunday when “Andy’s Army” landed in San Francisco
yesterday and set up a temporary campaign headquarters at a luxury three-room hotel
suite on Nob Hill. “Andy is not a Donald Trump ‘wannabe,” says Linda Smith,
“but he may be the GOP presidential race’s Trump mini-me. Pollsters should add
Andy’s name to their lists.”
“Andy has been a major factor in two of the last four
presidential races. In 2000 he helped knock out George W. Bush in the New
Hampshire primary when Andy broadcast a devastating TV
ad that predicted (in 1999-2000) that George W. Bush wanted to launch a war
against Iraq .
“In 2005-2008 Andy exposed Barack Obama as a fraud, costing
Obama millions of votes in the process. The anti-Obama movement, which Andy
fathered, continues to grow in force throughout American politics and today
forms the backbone of Donald Trump’s campaign.”
After arriving in San Francisco
on Sunday Andy attended services at Grace Cathedral (Episcopal) on Nob Hill.
The candidate did not attend the memorial to Carol Doda, but
while in San Francisco he will be
writing a column about the Bay Area’s impact on modern American culture.
“As someone who has been an urban educator, and is
comfortable in metropolitan areas from coast to coast, I am a Republican who can
speak to and work with America ’s
cities,” Andy says. “I do not expect to win the presidential nomination, but I do
expect to be a factor and to provide an opportunity for the party to ‘open
itself up’ to voters who currently feel disenfranchised.
“The ‘anti’ voters in both parties (Trump, Carson, Sanders)
have more in common than they have that divides them.
“But I am also here to deliver a stern message to California :
rejoin America
and respect our laws or pay a heavy price when California
some day needs assistance from the rest of the country.”
Andy is ramping up his West Coast campaign after qualifying in
the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire
primary, where he has challenged the ballot eligibility of Bernie Sanders. Andy
will participate, from San Francisco
by telephone, in a Tuesday hearing (which may be continued) at the Legislative
Office Building Concord , NH New Hampshire
hearing should be rescheduled to next week and I have asked the NH Supreme
Court to take action. But if technology permits, I will be ready to start the
proceedings from San Francisco on Tuesday to remove Bernie Sanders from the New
Hampshire Ballot,” Andy notes.
