(San Francisco) (November 27, 2015) Republican presidential candidate Andy Martin will hold a San Francisco news conference today, November 27th to call on the Obama Administration Justice Department to open a criminal probe of H1B visa abuses. “Silicon Valley is ‘ground zero’ for H1B visa abuses,” Andy charges. “But corporate greed leading to H1B visa corruption is widespread nationally, including abuses by firms such as Disney and other iconic household names.

“The original concept behind the H1B program was a sound one,” Andy says. “Americans live and compete in a worldwide economic marketplace. We need to attract the greatest talent and the best minds on a global basis. But what was a sound concept in theory has become just another corporate abuse. Big companies have been using H1B visas to displace American workers, and to export their jobs to India and China. This corporate greed is disgraceful.

“But while greed may not be a ‘crime,’ visa fraud is a crime. Operating H1B visa programs under false pretenses is clearly a proper subject for a federal grand jury investigation. I believe this probe should be initiated in the Northern District of California. Maybe if we send some Silicon Valley executives to jail for visa abuses others will get the message. The State of California as a whole is a center of H1B visa corruption.

“We are encouraging young Americans to obtain ‘STEM’ educations, and then making it impossible for them to obtain jobs.

“Once again, we find the fingerprints of both political parties on visa abuses. Republicans and Democrats profit from contributions by firms that are violating H1B visa procedures and profiting from the export of our jobs to Asia.

“Mitt Romney would be president today if he had listened to me and made a pilgrimage to Freeport, Illinois to save the jobs of Sensata Technologies workers from the blood-sucking greed of his corporate partners (please see link below). Romney ignored the opportunity, and Americans ignored his corporatocry campaign. In the Sensata case, H1B was used to bring in workers to steal American know-how and production knowledge, so that a world class facility in Illinois could be exported lock, stock and barrel to China. Romney had a choice between money and the public trust; Romney chose cash and forfeited the White House to Obama for another term.

“If you want to know why American workers are flocking to Donald Trump it is because he has the biggest megaphone to attack corporate abuses. I don’t have Trump’s megaphone but my grasp of the economics of H1B visa abuses and other self-destructive trade policies that are throwing Americans out of work is more comprehensive.

“Today it may sound unusual to call for a criminal probe of the H1B program, and a suspension of all H1B visa processing until reforms are made. Tomorrow my views will be the mainstream of presidential politics.”
