(NEW YORK) (December 7, 2011) Independent Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin will hold a New York City news conference today, Wednesday, December 7th to demand that former President Bill Clinton return tainted cash that he received from the bankrupt financial firm MF Global.

“Bill Clinton denies he’s a lobbyist,” Andy says. “Clinton is in good company. Newt Gingrich also denies he’s a lobbyist. But both of these ‘crony capitalist’ profiteers keep turning up and cashing checks for special interest schemes. Clinton was being paid for his ‘influence.’ His wife is a senior member of the administration. John Corzine was stealing billions. He wanted insurance and insulation for his criminality. What better solution that to tap ‘Bubba’s’ firm for some indirect influence peddling for MF Global?

“Like so many scandals nowadays, the ‘millionaires and billionaires’ that President Obama is fond of castigating are found in the Democratic Party. They apparently looted a public firm to line their own pockets by stealing from Main Street customers. People in Illinois and across the heartland are hurting. Clinton? He gets rich with all of his ‘influence’ schemes. Gingrich was paid tens of thousands of dollars for working one hour a month. Clinton and Gingrich? Perfect together.

“This is what Democrats and Republicans have reduced this great nation to: a crony capitalist colony indistinguishable from those in China or Russia. A handful of people get super-rich, and the nation as a whole is impoverished. People go to Washington to ‘serve’ and end up serving themselves. Newt Gingrich went as a poor college professor and ended up buying millions of dollars in jewelry and spending millions on charters for private jets. Washington stinks. Clinton stinks. Gingrich stinks. The system stinks. On this issue, Ron Paul and I speak as ‘one.’

“President Clinton can perform a good gesture for the victims of MF Global by repaying the money his firm collected,” Andy says. “We are investigating the MF Global scandal because of its impact on Illinois agriculture. We’ll have more to say on this political theft scheme.
