FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ATTENTION IOWA/NEW HAMPSHIRE DAYBOOK/ASSIGNMENT EDITORS

Today, Monday July 11th, Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin announces in Concord, New Hampshire that the Iowa Caucuses are unconstitutional and “un-American;” Martin calls for a national boycott of Iowa

Martin says Iowa Republicans are “money grubbers” and “bogus Christians” who would probably be stoned by Jesus himself out of sheer disgust

“The Iowa Caucuses are a disgrace to democracy,” Andy says. “Can you imagine locking the door and locking out our men and women serving in uniform from participating in the caucuses? That’s what they do in Iowa; hasn’t anyone noticed?

Martin says the greed of Iowa Republicans is despicable and Unchristian; “What a bunch of total hypocrites,” Andy says

Martin says the First Primary in New Hampshire is a true democratic institution: “Unlike Iowa, no one in New Hampshire has ever asked me for a dime because of my candidacy,” Andy says. “They count votes in New Hampshire, not dollars”

Martin blames liberal New York media for promoting the Iowa caucuses to showcase Democratic candidates, without any media focus on the greed of and mendacity of Iowa politicians

Andy Martin exposes the “tables of the Iowa money-changers”

(CONCORD, NH)(July 11, 2011) Corruption-fighting Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin will announce live on WTPL-FM (WTPLFM.com) that the Iowa precinct caucuses are “un-American” and unconstitutional. Martin’s announcement will be followed by a news conference at the State Legislative Office Building in Concord, New Hampshire,

“The media have been misleading Americans for decades,” Martin charges. “The so-called Iowa caucuses are a disgrace to democracy. All they do in Iowa is try to get their hands in your pockets and grab all the cash they can. These clowns call themselves ‘Christians’ and ballyhoo their religiosity. What a bunch of shameless hypocrites. Jesus was against stoning, but he might make an exception for Iowa Republicans. They greed is execrable.

“Iowa Republicans charge you $15,000 cash up front just to place your name on a ‘straw poll’ ballot that is an integral part of the party’s precinct caucus operation. Recently they were auctioning off ballot position for the straw poll to the highest bidder. In other words, the more money you give these people, the better ballot position they sell you. They don't even have the gall to do that in Illinois, which is our capital of corruption. This is democracy?

“The sliminess of the Iowa precinct caucuses, and the events leading up to these sleazy events, has never been examined in any detail by the liberal New York media. Well I am about to shine a light on one of the most corrupt aspects of American politics. Iowa. (They must get their training next door in Illinois.)

“Why has no one told the American people that Iowa men and women in uniform who are serving outside Iowa are barred from participation in the caucuses? People who have ‘second shift’ jobs are barred. People who might be absent from Iowa for a multiplicity of valid reasons: barred. The handicapped or those unable to leave their homes at night, including many elderly? Not barred, but severely limited. I repeat: this is democracy?

“I issue this demand to every honorable American and to every honorable Republican presidential candidate: boycott the Iowa precinct caucuses. Boycott Iowa until the Iowa legislature enacts laws that respect democracy and comply with the U. S. Constitution.

“I do not believe that any American, even people who are against the various ‘wars’ in which we are engaged, would argue that our men and women in uniform should be disenfranchised by the Iowa Republican Party or Iowa state law. But that’s the reality.

“Contrast Iowa with New Hampshire: no one has ever asked me for a dime when I campaign in NH. Candidates pay a small fee to get access to the ballot. The State of New Hampshire, which conducts the First Primary and actually counts votes, welcomes every American to New Hampshire and welcomes anyone to run and take their case to the voters of New Hampshire. In New Hampshire they do not auction off ballot position to the highest bidder in ‘straw polls’ which are intended to influence the ultimate primary election result.

“Men and women in uniform get to vote in New Hampshire. Their voices are not silenced by state law and party procedure. I repeat: not one person in New Hampshire has asked for a dime. In New Hampshire, they respect democracy. They count votes, not dollars,” Martin says. “’Priceless,’ as they say in the TV commercials.

“It's time to put an end to the Iowa precinct caucuses and every state that conducts similar atrocities. These procedures are un-American and unconstitutional. They are an assault on our military. Iowa should be ashamed of how the state treats its men and women in uniform.”

Dear Iowa Republican:

My campaign has already been running ads in Iowa. Saturday, tomorrow, I arrive in Des Moines to formally launch my Iowa presidential campaign. If you have not seen my Iowa ad, it can be found at www.YouTube.com/Martinin2012. We started running campaign ads in February in New Hampshire. Next month we will be creating a new set of ads for Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Because this is my first trip back to Iowa we will not have a full schedule. That means I have more time to meet and speak informally with individual Republicans.

I am a pretty unique Republican presidential candidate. I combine the attributes of a traditional Christian conservative with an extensive record of fighting political and judicial corruption. For example when Senator Barack Obama reacted to the indictment of Tony Rezko by saying “who he?” I exposed that Obama was lying. I revealed that Obama and Rezko were joined at the hip.

My book, “Obama: The Man Behind the Mask,” was a compilation of my pioneering columns exposing every aspect of Obama’s hidden past. My efforts culminated in the release of Obama’s original, typewritten 1961 birth certificate earlier this week. Republicans are of two minds on Donald Trump but I want to make it clear I thought he did a great job forcing Obama to the mat on the birth issue. With Trump’s celebrity and my credibility we took down the president of the United States and exposed how he had been hiding an archival record of the presidency. There’s more to come.

I am not flying to Iowa to sell books but if you want a signed copy of my book ($10 for remaining copies) please send us an email on Friday and they will pack a copy for you in Chicago that you can pick up in Des Moines.

My “fighting camp” will be at the Marriott Downtown Des Moines. I invite you to call in advance and stop by Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon or any time Monday. We’ll be looking for interns to join the campaign and learn the ropes. And veteran volunteers are also welcome.

Let me talk politics, briefly. First, I am not aware of anyone who identifies himself or herself as a Republican presidential candidate that would not be an improvement on Obama. An empty Oval office would be an improvement. You have the first tier of candidates, which is largely the group Fox News has been promoting. But obviously everyone on Fox News’ payroll can’t win.

As my advertising in Iowa last week confirms, I am an experienced political infighter. My name was the first one on Barack Obama’s enemies list. In fact, Obama probably only fears two candidates: Trump and me. We are both to-the-point people. Trump obviously has a massively higher profile, but it is not clear as of today whether he will run. We’ll see how his candidacy unfolds and if he ultimately announces. In the meantime, I’m in. I announced I am a candidate, not just an “explorer” trying to gauge the temperature before jumping in.

Right now I am probably heading up the top of the second division. But I am fighting to make it into the first tier. I hope you will take the time to study my qualifications.

This weekend I have time. We will be scheduling news conferences to highlight important issues. And Sunday morning is reserved for worship. But otherwise I have a lot of flexibility to meet new faces and I warmly invite you to give me a call and get together. I arrive Saturday afternoon.

Unlike the other candidates, I don’t travel with a pack of handlers, corporate jets and limousines. I answer my own phone, and I would devote time to answering the calls of ordinary citizens if I got to the Oval Office. My cell phone is (917) 664-9329. Let’s get together this weekend and start something.

Help me launch the New Ronald Reagan Revolution in Iowa. Let’s win this one for the Gipper.

With warmest best wishes,

ANDY MARTIN

Mr. Matt Strawn, Chairman

Iowa Republican Party

621 E. 9th Street

Des Moines, IA 50309

via fax (515) 282-9019

Dear Matt:

I hope we will be able to have a cordial and productive relationship. I am coming to Iowa tomorrow, Saturday, to launch my Iowa campaign. Some state chairmen want to be czars. I hope you believe in an open party. Ordinary voters are very sophisticated at winnowing out candidates; they should be given that opportunity.

I combine the attributes of a traditional Christian conservative with those of a corruption fighter, so I take a tough stance on conflicts of interest, dirty dealing and self-interested policies.

I am sure there will be some issues on which we disagree. But there will be many issues on which our views coincide. I am also faxing you copies of my two latest statements.

Monday I would like to meet with you or someone at your headquarters to discuss the Lincoln Day Dinner in June as well as participation in the Straw poll later in the summer. If your schedule does not permit you to meet with me I would appreciate it if you would please designate someone to meet with me to discuss the foregoing matters.

I will be staying at the Marriott Downtown Des Moines. My cell phone is (917) 664-9329.

With best wishes,

ANDY MARTIN
