“Every step that Newt takes is a scam,” Martin states. “Newt, Inc. Should be called ‘Scam, Inc.’ Gingrich is financed by corrupt casino owners. Newt routinely milks money from working class Republicans to support his royal lifestyle. He is a disgrace.
“Putting aside Gingrich’s serial adultery, and the way he engaged in the shamelessly Clintonesque behavior of having ‘sex at the office,’ Gingrich’s life has been one continuing conflict of interest in which he ultimately disgraced every organization where he served. As Speaker of the House, he was censured for the same types of financial hanky-panky he has engaged in since leaving Congress. Gingrich is addicted to conflicts of interest and self-dealing.”
Martin will announce today that he has been preparing to file an IRS complaint against Gingrich’s conflicts of interest. Martin says Gingrich misuses tax-exempt organizations to conduct his own personal political and personal activities. Martin is seeking an IRS audit of Gingrich’s financial manipulation.
“Gingrich’s’ announcement’ today is just another financial scam and just another tax dodge,” Martin says. “Gingrich wants to continue to use tax-exempt resources to conduct his political activities. So Gingrich says he is not ‘exploring’ a presidential race, which would restrict his financial legerdemain. Instead, Gingrich says he is merely ‘exploring’ whether to ‘explore.’ The entire Gingrich operation is a tax scam that is milking little people to support him and his third wife in the style to which they have become accustomed—at taxpayer’s expense.
“The New York Post reports today (see links below) that Gingrich had been paid $1 million a year by Fox News for the past twelve years. What has Fox News gotten for somewhere in the vicinity of $10 million dollars? What seems likely is that Fox News has been part of a seamless web of Gingrich’s tax evasion and manipulation. Gingrich flies to a location using his tax-exempt organization, engages in self-serving political activity, and then collects a private salary from Fox for activity that is being underwritten by the small contributions of his donor base. Gingrich had contempt for Congress in the 1990’s, and he has had contempt for the American people since leaving office.
“I realize that Gingrich's corruption and self-dealing make him a ‘major’ candidate in the eyes of the media, who love to highlight sleazy Republicans, and that I am only a B-list presidential candidate at this time. But I will fight for the integrity of the Republican Party, and for the deliverance of working-class Republicans from the yoke of Barack Obama, with all my heart and soul and mind.
“I will have some explosive allegations in the IRS complaint, and I will continue to attack Gingrich through the primary debates in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Iowa and anywhere else where Newt tries to ‘debate’ issues without acknowledging his own corruption and tax evasion is the number one ‘issue’ in his campaign. People like to slur me about lawsuits thirty years ago: how about looking at Newt Gingrich’s corruption today? I am a choirboy compared to Gingrich.
“Just wait for the IRS complaint. I will lay out my case point by point. Illinoisans know my attacks have a record for 100% accuracy and credibility. When I nailed closeted gay congressman Mark Kirk as a military fake in January of last year the Washington Post subsequently took my research and obliterated Kirk’s inflated military career. In a few days I will have embarrassing new disclosures about Kirk. Likewise, gay activists confirmed the ‘rumors’ I originally published about Kirk.
“I always strive for scrupulous accuracy in my attacks. I will do no less in my attacks on Gingrich.
“I will simply tell the truth about Newt Gingrich and organize the facts about his activity that are currently spread amorphously across the legal and political landscape. That should be enough to finish him off as a serious contender for the presidential nomination,” Martin notes. “Once the public and Republican primary voters get a coherent picture of Gingrich’s overall corruption and self-dealing, they will say ‘We can’t nominate a man subsidized by ‘casino cash’ as the candidate of a party pledged to familial and public morality. Will we have to bring back Jack Abramoff as Gingrich's running mate?’
“At the end of the day, if Newt wants to run I say ‘Run.’ But be aware what is coming in the debates and throughout the campaign. The Truth. The Facts. The Case Against Newt Gingrich.
“Gingrich should head for Sheldon Adelson’s casinos and place a bet on another presidential candidate. Gingrich’s candidacy is a losing bet.”
