(NEW YORK)(March 18, 2011) Corruption-fighting Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin holds a New York news conference today, Friday March 18th at 3:00 P.M. to claim that Donald’s Trump’s claims on ABC’s Good Morning America that Trump is a “Birther” will immediately benefit Martin’s presidential campaign.

“We have a disconnect in the presidential process,” Martin says. “There are crusading talk radio hosts such as Peter Boyles in Denver that realize the significance of the ‘Birther’ issue. But Republican Party honchos can’t get far enough away from the question of President Barack Obama’s ‘birth.’ Martin was set to be a guest on KHOW-AM’s Boyles Show Friday morning at 7:00 A.M. Denver time (9:00 A.M. EDT); his appearance should be podcasted under the Boyles Show at www.khow.com.

“Voters want a discussion of Obama’s birth but Republican leaders say ‘no’ and, as Trump correctly stated, anyone who ventures near the Birther issue is demonized by pro-Obama sycophants in the national media.

“Trump has now waded into the Birther controversy by taking the discussion in a slightly different direction. Instead of ‘Where’s the Birth Certificate,’ Trump is asking ‘Where was Obama?’ Trump notes that Obama was ‘invisible’ as a young man.

“My campaign is already up with the first Birther TV ad, which has run in New Hampshire and is set to begin running again in New Hampshire on WMUR-TV and Comcast Cable. We also have similar TV ads which are ready to start running in Iowa and South Carolina. Ultimately, by fanning the Birther issue Trump is benefiting my campaign.”

Martin heads for Atlanta Saturday to open a four-day campaign swing in the Southeast that is likely to feature corruption fighting attacks on potential Republican presidential candidates. Martin will also be campaigning on the Birther issue as he seeks to pry Georgia Republicans away from Newton Gingrich.
