(MANCHESTER, NH)(May 10, 2011) Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin holds a Manchester, NH news conference today, Tuesday, May 10th at 1:00 P.M. at the Radisson Hotel, 700 Elm Street, Manchester (Suite 606). Martin will announce a new series of local and national TV and radio ads, promising to become an even bigger “distraction” to President Barack Obama than Martin was with his original “Birther” TV ads.

“Every candidate is obviously free to plan and execute his own campaign strategy,” Martin says. “Unlike presidential candidate Newton Gingrich, I don’t have crooked cash from Las Vegas casino kings to subsidize my lifestyle and fuel my political activity. But my voice still manages to get heard.

“Tuesday we are going to announce a new series of hard-hitting local and national TV and radio ads. Barack Obama said my ‘Birther’ TV ads became a ‘distraction’ when Donald Trump picked up my issue and ran with it. Well, the new ad campaigns are going to cause a lot of ‘distractions’ for a lot of people, from federal judges to opposing candidates, to just about everyone in between. I am conducting a vigorous, coherent, coordinated national presidential campaign.

“I have given up keeping a list of who is a formally announced candidate and who is still studying whether they can fill Barack Obama's shoes. I understand serial adulterer Newton Gingrich is about to make his availability ‘formal.’ Unlike some of the other potential candidates, such as Pawlenty, Cain, Santorum and others, whom I may only tease, I sincerely believe Newton Gingrich's candidacy is bad for the Republican Party. In fact Gingrich’s candidacy is downright evil.

“But I am not a Johnny-one note. When I filed the first Freedom of Information Act (‘FOIA’) request seeking access to federal records on the mission to terminate Osama bin Laden, people were a little surprised. I am gratified that my original decision has now been validated by many mainstream media (see link below to Washington Times) who have filed parallel FOIA requests. I have successfully been filing FOIA requests for four decades.

“Unlike ‘Pizza Man’ Herman Cain, I actually know how the federal government works, day-to-day, which is why I am the only candidate who can actually tear down and rebuild the barnacled bureaucracy in Washington. Unlike Santorum & Co., who have ‘been there and not done that,’ I have a record of independent action and corruption-fighting reform.

“I did not choose to pay the $25,000 ‘filing fee’ to participate in the South Carolina debate held on Fox News. I am available to participate in any debates where pay-to-play is not a condition of participation.

“I am pleased to announce that I am carefully analyzing the Northern Pass controversy. In the 1970’s I filed some of the original ‘NEPA’ litigation. Unlike some Republicans, I do not want to destroy the environment to save it. Once again, I can draw on decades of experience, not mountains of meaningless political slogans.

“My TV and radio ads have become legendary over the decades for being both hard-hitting and insightful. We’ll have ‘more of the same’ to announce Tuesday. From Washington to Concord we will manage to make my opponents miserable— by simply stating the truth about them on TV and radio.

“I have not been blessed with some of the sumptuous campaign war chests of my opponents, but I have been blessed with a brain and a loyal national cadre of volunteers. And so we substitute media brains for financial brawn as we take the truth to the American people: Barack Obama is unfit and unqualified to be president of the United States. And many Republicans are equally unfit to succeed him,” Martin says.

“I may only end up as the vice presidential candidate. But I promised in December to ‘drive the agenda’ of the presidential campaign and I plan to continue doing just that. Any time I can create a potential political issue that the president admits is driving him to ‘distraction,’ I am having an outsize impact on the outcome. Tomorrow, in Manchester, we keep driving.”
