Iowa next stop for Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin

Andy Martin continues his 2011 campaign for president in 2012 with Iowa first, and then the opening of a South Carolina headquarters later this month or early February. Martin promises to conduct an “adult conversation with the American people” instead of the usual candidate twaddle.

Later today Andy will be continuing his eleven-part series Campaign Resolutions for 2011. Coming Wednesday, January 5: Part 2 of 11: “Islam is the Enemy” (Part One of Eleven was published January 1st and is available on his blog).

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Andy Martin announced today will open his Iowa Caucus campaign later in January

Martin says that as the only formally-announced candidate he’s the “frontrunner” for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination until a second candidate formally emerges

Martin also plans to have his South Carolina operation up and running by late January or early February, depending on receiving a speaking invitation

Andy will have a campaign update on his continuing New Hampshire operations later this week; Andy is running as a “Favorite Son” in New Hampshire based on his family ties to the Granite State

Martin says the early primary/caucus schedule favors his candidacy

(PALM BEACH, FL)(January 5, 2011) Following in the wake of a blockbuster announcement of his presidential campaign in New Hampshire, Andy Martin is making plans to extend his national effort to Iowa later in January. Martin is currently trying to make scheduling arrangements for an Iowa campaign speech.

“We plan to open in Iowa later this month, depending on the availability of a speaking invitation,” Martin said Wednesday while visiting his family in Palm Beach for a brief vacation. “Based on the reception we have received to date, I expect us to be fully competitive from coast-to-coast with other presidential candidates. As the only Republican to formally announce, I’m the ‘frontrunner’ until a second candidate joins the race.

“The primary/caucus schedule favors my candidacy over other presidential candidates,” Martin notes. “Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina are all strong ‘Birther’ states in the Republican Party. Last July (see link below) Iowa Republicans even suggested stripping Obama of his citizenship. Clearly these states offer fertile soil for me to plant my campaign’s seeds. We will have a head start due to this potential local support in the early voting states.

“We are currently working on an important announcement for the growth of my campaign in New Hampshire.

“There are obvious reasons why other candidates have not formally announced. But I have officially become a candidate and we are out there carrying the ball against Obama. If anyone in Iowa or South Carolina wants to help us, they should pick up the phone and call my headquarters,” Martin says.

“My campaign is energizing independent bloggers (see link below) and talk radio hosts (see links below),” Martin says. “We already have over an hour and a half of independently-produced podcasts (Brian Tilton and Peter Boyles shows, see below) that Iowans, South Carolinians and, of course, New Hampshire Republicans can listen to. No other presidential candidate is that far out ahead of the pack.

“After I appeared on Peter Boyles’ show he subsequently reopened the Frank Marshall Davis conversation which is based on my original research in Honolulu in 2008. I may be leading the ‘Birther’ movement but I am only a part of that movement which, according to liberal MSNBC cable TV bobblehead Chris Matthews, numbers 100 million Americans. That’s not a bad base to start a presidential campaign.”
