FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ATTENTION FLORIDA DAYBOOK/ASSIGNMENT EDITORS

Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin holds a Palm Beach news conference today, Thursday, June 2nd to as he begins three days of attacks on President Barack Obama’s immigration policies

Martin says the Obama administration is overburdening Florida taxpayers with unnecessary Haitians

Martin says he is tired of hearing about the “perpetual basket case” of Haiti

Martin says Janet Napolitano should revoke her extension of Haitian residence permits and send Haitians home

(PALM BEACH, FL)(June 2, 2011) Corruption-fighting Republican Presidential Candidate Andy Martin holds a Palm Beach, Florida news conference today, June 2nd at 5:00 P.M. to launch three days of attacks on President Barack Obama’s immigration and AIDS policies.

“President Obama is flooding Florida with unnecessary Haitians, and forcing Floridians to bear a disproportionate imposition at a time when the state is trying to cut spending,” Martin says. “Florida’s jails and schools are full of Haitians. In the meantime, Floridians are losing their homes because they can’t afford high taxes to support local services to illegal Haitians.

“We have now learned that the incompetent (or corrupt, or both) Haitian government grossly inflated the earthquake statistics (see links below). A U. S. Government-funded study shows that while no earthquake toll is ever minor, the damage of the Haitian quake was grossly inflated to create hydraulic pressure for an endless foreign aid pipeline.

“Frankly, I am tired of the perpetual chaos in Haiti. It is time for Haitians to sink or swim in their own nation, not in downtown Miami. It is not our job to rebuild their failed nation.

“Why are we allowing the Haitian government to dump its surplus population on South Florida, when these people are potentially productive and should be sent home to rebuild their country?

“We now know that the media and the Haitian regime massively inflated the impact of the earthquake (see links below). So what are we doing to scale down our response to the actual size of the calamity? Nothing. Both the liberal media, which have imposed a curtain of silence over the ‘earthquake exaggerations,’ and the Obama regime are seeking to stick the people of Florida with the bulk of the consequences of Haiti’s failed nation status.

Florida should not be a dumping ground for failed states. It is time for Obama to send the Haitians home,” Martin demands. “I certainly supported emergency earthquake aid, though most of the quake’s damage was due not to the earthquake but to Haiti’s perpetually failed state status. But now is the time to send these people home. The emergency was exaggerated and inflated; the American people’s emotions were preyed on, and it is time to acknowledge that Florida’s taxpayers should not be acting as an overflow valve for Haiti’s failed policies.”

At the news conference Martin will release a copy of his letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Napolitano is extending the residence permits of Haitian “refugees” (see links below).
